On Saturday evening, May 5th, the Diogenes Club of the Monterey Peninsula will gather for formal dinner and Sherlockian merriment, er, well, as long they do not take the least notice of their fellow dinners, of course.  Though having the reputation of being the most unsociable and unclubable lot in town, they do, in fact, on occasion,  gather in the  Stranger’s Room amongst the comfortable chairs and latest periodicals  for Sherlockian fellowship.  All respectable  gentlemen (the term ‘respectable’being used rather  loosely) are welcome to attend their gatherings.  For more information  contact Gen. NEWS SHERLOCKIAN

The BAKER STREET WEST 1   journal will be hitting the street in the next week or so according to its editor-in-chief, Jerry Kegley.  This is THE journal of Western Sherlockiana!  With entertaining and informative commentaries, articles, pastiches and all manner of Sherlockian wit and whimsy –  an absolute must for the western states  Sherlockian.  Subscriptions are $11 a year for two issues.    Individual issues are $6 each.  A limited number of back issues are  available for $6.50 each.    Check should be made payable to Baker Street   West 1.  Mail to Jerry Kegley 110 South El Nido, #41, Pasadena  CA  91107.
